Pingcoin: Coin Ping Test

About

Pingcoin is a coin ping test app for checking gold and silver coins with sound-based resonance analysis. Use your phone to test bullion coins for counterfeit patterns in seconds. Tap the coin, record the ring, and Pingcoin compares the resonance frequencies against known profiles for popular gold and silver coins. Why Pingcoin? Protect Your Investments Effortlessly In a world where fake coins are flooding the market, Pingcoin empowers collectors, investors, and dealers to spot fakes instantly. Based on proven physics principles – like the traditional "ping test" but supercharged with modern, digital techniques – our app analyzes the resonance frequencies of a coin and compares it to known resonance profiles. Although counterfeiters might succeed in matching diameter, thickness and weight — this necessarily requires them to use materials that ring VERY differently. Pingcoin catches these counterfeits. - Supports 36 Popular Coins: From American Eagles and Canadian Maple Leafs to Buffalos, Philharmonics, and Krugerrands – we've got 20 silver and 16 gold types covered. - Non-Destructive & Lightning-Fast: Gently tap your coin, record the sound, and get an "Authentic" or "Not Recognized" verdict in milliseconds. No scratching, acids, or tools needed. - Works Anywhere: Test at coin shows, estate sales, or on the go. - Science You Can Trust: Powered by Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations and vibrational analysis, the same tech used in aerospace and bridge inspections for material verification. - Work with (or without) physical pingers like the pocket pinger Combine with weight, diameter and thickness checks for a comprehensive approach. How It Works – Simple as 1-2-3 1. **Select Your Coin**: Pick from our library of 36 coins. 2. **Tap to Record**: Hold your phone close and give the coin a gentle ping. 3. **Get Instant Results**: Advanced algorithms compare frequencies to verified references – done! How does it compare with other ping test apps? - Transparency: Pingcoin shows you what is being measured. We show you each resonant frequency and the tolerance we're using to base our verdict on. Most apps don't do this. - No hardware necessary: You can use Pingcoin with just your phone and your coin, but if you want to use a pinger, you can. - Speed: Pingcoin analyzes the ping of your coin within a split second.
