Currency Today keeps working when a rate source does not. Most converters read from a single feed. If that feed is slow, rate limited or down, you get a stale number or an error. Currency Today is wired to several independent rate sources and falls through to the next one automatically. A source that keeps failing is taken out of rotation until it recovers. The app shows every reading and the source spread, uses the median, and labels a rate verified only when at least two feeds agree within 2%. If they do not, no verified rate is shown. Rates are indicative only. Your bank or payment provider may use a different rate and add fees.
