When a problem is detected, the vehicle’s computer stores a code (like P0300 for engine misfire), which can be read with a scanner. These codes help mechanics and drivers diagnose and fix vehicle problems quickly, ensuring safety, performance, and emissions compliance. Our "OBD2 Codes List (OBD-II)" app lists all generic codes as well as codes from various automobile/car manufacturers.
