Everything Korea: Learn Korean

About

Learn Korean from the first letter, and everything about Korea along the way. HANGUL IN A WEEK Build real syllables from tiles, hear every letter, watch the stroke order, and read famous names as soon as you know their letters. FROM ZERO TO TOPIK 6 A five-minute placement test finds your level. Conversations you can act out, grammar with easy, intermediate and advanced examples, 11,000 graded words with audio, number drills, and practice sets for TOPIK I, TOPIK II and Korea’s integration programme (KIIP), including the speaking test. HOLD ANY WORD Press and hold any Korean word in the app to see its dictionary form, meaning and pronunciation. A KOREAN LEVEL ON EVERY ARTICLE Every article and every place is marked TOPIK level 1 to 6: the Korean you need to read its Korean side without a dictionary. The pieces you can read tell you where your Korean stands, and a page in Learn explains each level. KOREA, TOLD WELL Five thousand years of history, the flag and the anthem, kimchi and table manners, the subway and the holidays, universities, and life in Korea for new residents. Read or listen in your language, in Korean, or both side by side. TRAVEL 196 places on a map of every province. Browse by interest (palaces, temples and churches, hikes, walks, the sea, markets, UNESCO sites) or by the month of your trip. Every place says how to get there, and hikes come with trail cards. Suggested routes, industrial tours, driving and toll roads, and a phrasebook you can show to a Korean, with an emergency card. IN YOUR LANGUAGE The screens, the Hangul course, conversations and grammar, every article and the whole of Travel are in English, Japanese, Vietnamese and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional). REAL KOREAN Slang and texting shorthand explained with their origins, so you understand dramas and films. For learners 13 and over. FREE FOR EVERYONE No account, no subscription, nothing locked. One small banner ad keeps the app running. Your progress stays on your phone.
