I’ve added quite a few widgets: nine new ones for temperature, wind, humidity, cloud cover, air pressure, precipitation, UV, the Sun, and the Moon. Pick the information you need and put it on your Home Screen. I started out thinking “just a few small widgets.” I used “a few” rather casually. There was nothing small about the workload. I’ve also put more care into rendering the Moon. A closer look made me realize I’d been rather pleased with myself for a Moon I hadn’t put enough work into. The Moon had been there all along; my attention to detail was the missing part. I’ve refined the surface shading, the way moonlight changes as it passes through the atmosphere, and the movement and rotation when you change the date or location. I think it looks more like the Moon now, but I thought that last time too, so I’ll keep my claims modest. The sky colors have had another round of adjustments. Every evening, I look up at the sky. Then I look at the app. During the day, I was quite sure I’d improved it. The evening sky disagrees. I go out to enjoy the sunset and come back with more things to fix. And so I keep refining the light and colors from daytime through twilight and into the night. At a customer’s request, I’ve made the Minimal view more spacious. You can adjust the text size and weight to your taste, and expanding or collapsing the forecast now keeps your place. I’ve refined sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and moonset calculations, and expanded the time-of-day-aware messages for feels-like temperature, wind, visibility, air quality, and UV.
