How much longer is my iPhone charging? Charging time calculates your iPhone charging time and shows you the remaining time as a battery countdown that ticks along second by second. Below it you'll see the time of day when your battery will be full: "Full at 15:00". You don't have to calculate all the way to 100%. Set your own charging target – 70%, 80% or completely full – and the charging duration adjusts instantly. It works the other way round too: move the slider until the time matches your appointment, and you'll know how full the battery will be by then. Handy when you're about to head out. Then there's your charger, because between an old five-watt plug and a USB-C fast charger there is a factor of seven. iOS doesn't tell apps what is connected, so you set it once with a slider – only then is the battery charging time correct. And because a battery doesn't charge evenly and throttles noticeably above 80%, the charging time calculator works through the path from 0 to 100% in twenty stages.
