PWEditor Next is a coding text editor for editing files directly on multiple storage services. It supports local files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, FTP, and SFTP. You can preview Markdown, Mermaid, AsciiDoc, HTML, and PlantUML in real time using split view. HTML previews for local files and iCloud Drive can load related CSS files, images, and JavaScript files. Apple Intelligence features include summarization, rewriting, and translation. Changes are reflected in real time, even before saving. Supported preview formats: ・HTML ・Markdown ・Mermaid ・AsciiDoc ・PlantUML ・PDF ・Image files HTML previews for local files and iCloud Drive can load related CSS files, images, and JavaScript files. Text editing includes character encoding and line ending display, line and character counts, line numbers, invisible characters, syntax highlighting, automatic indentation, and find and replace. ■ Search Search within files, file and directory names, or multiple files. Search supports case sensitivity, whole-word search, regular expressions, and extension filters. File and directory name search also supports matching by the beginning, middle, or end of a name. ■ Storage ・Local files ・iCloud Drive ・Google Drive ・Dropbox ・OneDrive ・Box ・FTP ・SFTP Basic viewing, editing, and saving of text files on supported storage services are free. ■ File Management Create, delete, rename, copy, and move files and directories. ※ Available operations depend on the storage service. ※ The Pro plan is required for copying and moving files outside local storage and iCloud Drive. ■ File Export Export edited files to another storage or folder. Exporting from local storage and iCloud Drive is free. The Pro plan is required for other storage services. ■ Backup and History Restore Back up files before saving or restoring them. ・Files up to 500 KB: up to 5 versions ・Files over 500 KB: up to 3 versions Backups can be restored or saved as separate files. ■ Pro Plan The Pro plan includes ad removal and: ・Three or more tabs ・Split view for external storage ・AI features for external storage ・File export for external storage ・File and directory copy and move for external storage ・Future advanced features Some Pro features are not currently available for SFTP. ■ Google Drive Due to Google Drive limitations, available features may differ between files created in PWEditor Next and files selected using “Add from Drive.” ■ SFTP You can open, view, edit, and save text files on an SFTP server. SFTP currently supports username and password authentication. File and directory name search, cross-file search, character encoding and line ending conversion, split view, AI features, file export, and file or directory copy and move are not currently supported.
