PocketCaddie (PC) is a golf automation app made by someone with a +25 handicap. A big reason that I shoot so many double and triple bogeys (apart from the 3-4 putts) is that I go into many shots uninformed of a few things: - Where do I place the ball in my stance? - Which foot should I place my weight on? - Should I swing inside/out or outside/in? - Am I suppose to chop at this ball? You get the picture... Very soon, PC will make you feel like an experienced golfer. How does it work? 1. Track your golf rounds/scores just like you would on a physical scorecard 2. Track your shots and their distances/shapes/etc 3. The in-app golf caddie will start to offer suggestions on how to play each round - I'm thinking basic things such as how to swing the club for now. Eventually, there will be course-specific guidance such as: 1. "The last three times you tried to outdrive the water, you went right in... You've been hitting your 4-iron consistently. How about trying that instead?" At this point, number 1 and 2 are available in the live version. #3 is also available but in a basic form. P.S., PC only has golf courses in the Philadelphia area.
