17on: A Haiku Poetry Journal

About

Capture life in three lines. 17on (pronounced "seventeen-on") is a haiku composition and journaling app: a quiet space to write in the traditional 5-7-5 form or contemporary variations. A built-in syllable counter lets you focus on the words, not the count. A QUIET SPACE FOR DAILY HAIKU No social feed. No algorithm. No pressure. Just you, your words, and the form that has shaped poets for centuries. Whether you keep a daily haiku practice, capture a single observation, or write your first 5-7-5, 17on stays out of the way. INTELLIGENT SYLLABLE COUNTING A real-time 5-7-5 syllable counter, line by line. No more counting on your fingers. 17on uses a dictionary-based approach backed by over 126,000 English words from the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary, plus hidden language data from the EDRDG dictionary. COMPOSITION STYLES Choose the form that fits the moment. Traditional (5-7-5). Where it all begins. Modern (4-4-6). Say more with less. Lune (5-3-5). Distilled to essence. Monoku.
