Version 3.0 — our biggest update ever. Every map now plays on a fully interactive 3-D globe. THE GLOBE Spin it with one finger, flick it to set it turning, pinch to zoom from the whole planet down to a single island. Countries finally appear at their true size and true shape — no more Mercator distortion stretching Greenland out of all proportion. Opening a map now flies you in from space. NEW ON THE MAP • Regions you have placed now carry their name, so the map fills itself in as you solve it • Oceans, seas, lakes and bays are drawn and labeled around your puzzle • Optional latitude and longitude grid, under Options • Far more coastline detail — tiny islands, peninsulas and inlets that earlier versions smoothed away FINDING YOUR MAPS • The Map Vault is now organized into categories: continents, countries, oceans and empires. Prefer the single long list? Switch back under Options > Map Vault Layout • A new "Recent" sort puts the maps you have been playing at the top • Buying a map now drops you straight into the game • The vault fills the screen properly on iPad and in landscape FIXED: GAME CENTER LEADERBOARDS • Leaderboards could get tangled across maps sharing one combined score. Fixed — every map now has its own leaderboard, correctly grouped by category • Your existing best times were carried over automatically — nothing to re-earn • Level-completion progress and a grand total across all your maps now track correctly SETTINGS AND HELP • Options now take effect the moment you change them — no separate Apply step • Help moved to the Options screen, so it is reachable from the Map Vault too MAP DATA Dozens of corrections across the world data: Swaziland renamed to Eswatini, San Marino and the Åland Islands added, enclave countries now cut properly out of the countries that surround them, border gaps closed where the source data never quite met, missing African lakes restored, and holes repaired in the United States and France maps.
