About
Songbook Buddy is a ChordPro song editor, song library, and chord reference for musicians. Build your personal library, edit with a syntax-aware ChordPro editor, and preview stage-ready layouts on phone, tablet, and desktop. Free to start: import ChordPro and text files (.cho, .chordpro, .crd, .pro, .gcp, .cpm), transpose with a tap, read hands-free with autoscroll, look up shapes in the guitar, ukulele, and piano chord library, and tune your instrument. The free Starter library holds up to 100 songs, and everything stays on your device. Basic is a one-time purchase that removes the song limit and adds import from PDF, Word/ODT, and image sheets, tags and tag filtering, your own setlists, the metronome, flashcards, chord substitutions, linked audio playback, single-song printing and PDF export, and sync between two of your own devices. Pro adds the stage: Theater Mode on the device or an external display, songbook and setlist printing, footswitch, MIDI, OSC, and DMX control, sticky notes, workflow status, themes, fonts, and section colors, the custom chord editor with custom tunings and chord progressions, custom ChordPro blocks, sharing songs and setlists with other people, and sync across five devices. Pro Cloud adds Band Mode: a shared band library and setlists, roles and permissions, invite links, and Live Sessions where everyone follows the leader's song, position, and playback. Songbook Buddy is offline-first and its sync is end-to-end encrypted — your songs stay on your device unless you choose to sync. • Song library with search, filters, and sorting • Syntax-aware ChordPro editor with live preview • Transpose, autoscroll, keep-awake, and a built-in tuner • Chord diagrams for guitar, ukulele, and piano, with audio preview • Free Starter library holds up to 100 songs • Tags, setlists, metronome, and flashcards (Basic) • Linked audio and import from PDF, Word, and image sheets (Basic) • Theater Mode for the stage or an external display (Pro) • Footswitch, MIDI, OSC, and DMX control (Pro) • Custom chord editor, custom tunings, themes, and fonts (Pro) • Band Mode with shared library, roles, and Live Sessions (Pro Cloud) • End-to-end encrypted sync, backup and restore, 23 app languages
