GLOBAL COVERAGE Rain Alarm now combines radar with satellite data. Where radar is available, the map and alarms use it as before. Everywhere else, satellite estimates fill the gaps, so you can see approaching rain and get alarms in places without radar. Satellite data is less precise than radar; you can switch back to radar only in Settings. ALARMS ON THE MAP - Search for any place with the new search button on the map. - Touch and hold the map, or search for a place, then tap + to add an alarm there or move your alarm. - Tap the alarm name on the map to switch between alarms or open the alarm settings. WIDGETS - The Radar widget now shows your search radius, your alarm location and the time of the data, in the same map style as the app. You choose the area it shows. - The widgets are now called Ring, Text and Radar. APPLE WATCH - Drag the map to look around; tap the name to return to your location. - The watch follows the map settings of your iPhone. - Requires watchOS 10. SHARING - Shared images are cleaner, with the date, time and sources in one place. - Choose image or animation directly under the share button. ALSO NEW - "How it works" is now one page, and there is a new help page for widgets and Apple Watch. - The weather forecast opens full screen in landscape. FIXES - Fixed the crashes some of you saw in version 5.4. - Fixed the watch app freezing and the complication asking for setup after a few hours. - The Radar widget is more reliable. - Several smaller fixes on the map and in the alarm settings.
