The Bioavailable Testosterone calculator calculates bioavailable and free testosterone from total testosterone, sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) and albumin. It is intended to be used by qualified healthcare professionals. The application is an adaptation of the algorithm published in Vermeulen A, Verdonck L, Kaufman JM: A Critical Evaluation of Simple Methods for the Estimation of Free Testosterone in Serum, J. Clin. Endocrinol. Metab. Oct 1, 1999; 84: 3666-3672.
