About
Pocket Luach Deluxe is a Jewish calendar, zmanim, Siddur, Tehillim, and personal-event companion for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. It combines everyday clarity with deeper planning tools for family and community life. DAILY JEWISH CALENDAR • See Hebrew and civil dates, holidays, parasha, molad information, fast days, and local zmanim. • Create birthdays, anniversaries, yahrzeits, notes, and reminders. • Search dates, events, holidays, packages, and zmanim. • Share polished Shabbat, Yom Tov, fast-day, and zmanim cards. • Check the Hebrew date, upcoming zmanim, and day events on Apple Watch. SIDDUR & TEHILLIM • Read Chabad, Ashkenaz, and Sephard prayer traditions from the bundled offline Siddur. • Use a clear Contents list to move directly to sections within supported prayers. • On supported dates, the Siddur automatically places the appropriate Torah reading into weekday Shacharit, including ordinary Mondays and Thursdays, Rosh Chodesh, Chanukah, Tisha B'Av, supported minor public fasts, and Purim after you choose a walled or unwalled locality. Vayechal is also available at Mincha on Tisha B'Av and supported fasts. Ambiguous cases remain unchanged. • In Chabad weekday Shacharit, reviewed offline Hallel appears on supported Rosh Chodesh and Chanukah dates. Rosh Chodesh Musaf appears only when Rosh Chodesh applies, with the proper Kaddish, Song of the Day, Barchi Nafshi, Torah, and Ashrei/Uva Letzion sequence. • At Maariv, the Omer section automatically shows the single appropriate count from day 1 through day 49 for the selected civil evening and stays hidden outside the Omer season. • Read the regular monthly Tehillim portion, choose fixed personal chapters, or build a named birthday Tehillim list. • Add as many birthday Tehillim entries as you need, enter a name and civil or Hebrew birthday, or use an already-saved Pocket Luach birthday. The current Psalm updates automatically with the real date and time zone. • Use the optional Tefillin Mirror as a private live front-camera mirror while putting on tefillin. Camera access begins only after you tap Start Camera; the app does not record, save, or transmit the image. • Find Torah text, reading-calendar, and license credits in More > About the Author, with direct Tanach.us, Hebcal, and CC BY 4.0 links. FAMILY & COMMUNITY PACKAGES Create or import event packages for family milestones, synagogue programs, classes, school dates, or community events. Preview a package and choose which events enter your calendar. Keep package events distinct from private events, protect sharing with optional passwords, and review updates before applying them. Compatible family CSV and GEDCOM import is supported, including photo matching. ZMANIM, SIRI & SHORTCUTS Use location-aware zmanim with configurable calculation profiles. Ask Siri or use Shortcuts for Hebrew dates, candle lighting, Havdalah, Shabbat or Yom Tov status, and key zmanim. Combine results with reminders, notifications, or compatible smart-home actions that you configure. Pocket Luach Deluxe can also prepare supported, non-private calendar context for Jewish Clock, a separately purchased optional display and alarm companion. Jewish Clock reads that shared context and does not edit Deluxe data. Zmanim are approximate and should be used with proper practical and halachic safeguards. No subscription is required.
