Ambient pads are often used with acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and piano, but are equally compatible with instruments such as violin, cello, synthesizers, ukulele, harp, and more. I designed AeroPads because most of the available pad players and ambient pads that I tried felt boring and uninspiring. Don’t get me wrong, there’s definitely some cool stuff out there, but I never fell in love with any of it. The apps that I tried were honestly a bit clunky and confusing. And most of the ambient pads that I heard were either repetitive, boring, or just wildly distracting. When I was looking for an ambient pad player, I wanted the interface to inspire me the second I launched the app. I wanted to get lost and feel immersed in the sound the moment an ambient pad cues.
