Dates and times now look the way they look where you live. Someone in the US asked whether the date placeholder could come out in another shape, since the US writes month, day, year. Until now a date was 2026-08-31 everywhere and a time was 24-hour. The point of filling it in for you is that you do not have to type it, and if it is not the shape your country uses, you end up fixing it by hand anyway. Now your language and your region decide the shape. The US gets 08/31/2026 and 9:57 PM, the UK gets 31/08/2026, Germany gets 31.08.2026. Korea, China and Japan are deliberately unchanged. That is the shape they have been getting all along, and changing it would mean their results suddenly look different one day. You can also pick it yourself, in Settings under Snippets, Date format and Time format. Every choice draws today's date in that shape. MM/DD/YYYY is readable to the person who wrote it; 08/31/2026 is readable to everyone. Pick a category while you save. You told us: let me set the category as I save, moving it out of Basic afterwards is a chore. The save screen had no way to choose a category at all. It is now one row right under the body, and you can create a new category from there. Without that, someone who has not made any category yet just sees a broken control with Basic in it. After saving, the list takes you to where that snippet is visible. Before, if you were on the Basic tab and saved into Work, the screen stayed on Basic and you could not see where the thing you just made had gone. Looking like it vanished is the worst outcome. If it is already visible where you are, nothing moves. Moving the screen when you can already see it is what actually makes you lose your place. The keyboard is the height of the system keyboard now. Two reports had one root: the height feels off compared to the default keyboard, and the height jumps once as it comes up. We were pinning the number 254 weakly, so iOS stood the keyboard at its own height first, pulled it down to ours, and animated the trip. And 254 had no basis. It still carried the share of a bottom bar we removed long ago. Now the app measures your device's system keyboard height and the keyboard stands at that value, recorded per device and per orientation, so landscape is right too. If you have not opened the app yet, we estimate from the screen. iOS 26 draws the globe and dictation row outside our panel. Not knowing that, we stood 89pt taller than the system keyboard and the panel's background color did not match the row below it. Now we stand without that row's share and lay the system material behind the panel, so the two read as one surface. The color is one color. Matching the system keyboard's height exactly, though, left our panel squashed. The arithmetic was right and the premise was wrong. The system keyboard spends that whole height on keys; ours puts the category row in first and lays snippets in what is left. Given the same number, only our grid goes hungry, by more than a row. So the measured height is now treated as the grid's share, and the category row we alone draw sits on top of it. We are taller than the system keyboard by exactly what the system keyboard does not draw. Six snippets fit on any device, and if you use large keys the panel grows with them. In landscape there is a ceiling so the keyboard never takes over the screen. Categories no longer multiply on their own. Categories were growing out of hand. The app was promoting whatever category name a snippet carried into your list of categories, and sync fed each name back to the device that had just sent it. It grew even with a single device. A snippet still tagged with a category you deleted, a sample name planted in another language, any string that arrived through an import: all of it became a category.
