The Roots FM Radio

About

Commercial-free. Volunteer-run Community-Supported. Music First. Remember when FM radio was exciting? When you could turn on the radio and discover a new song, or a song you have not heard in years - played by a host who knew the music, loved the music and chose what to play because it mattered to them? That’s The Roots FM. The Roots FM is a commercial-free, volunteer-run, community-supported radio station dedicated to saving the music - from the classics and deep cuts of the past to exciting new music being created today. We play the music commercial radio often overlooks. Rock, blues, bluegrass, jam bands, Americana, folk, jazz fusion, indie rock, Latin music, live concerts, and much more. No corporate playlists. No commercial interruptions. Just a huge, diverse collection of music selected and presented by people who genuinely love it. Whether you're rediscovering the radio you grew up with or discovering music you've never heard before, The Roots FM puts the music first.
