Hot on the heels of our last update, here’s another small but important one, helping to iron out some of those early v4 creases - with fixes for Circadian Flow, video playback, Offline Mode and Focus Timers. What’s new in v4.0.3 - More Reliable Circadian Flow: fixed an issue that could cause Circadian Flow to jump to the wrong part of the day at midnight in some timezones. - More Reliable Playback: fixed an issue that could prevent video playback from recovering after being paused for a long time. - Better Offline Mode: fixed an issue that could cause the play button and images to mysteriously disappear in certain situations. - Smoother Focus Timers: fixed a bug that could prevent playback from starting automatically when enabled in the Focus Timer advanced settings. A special thank you to Ian from the UK, who spotted the Circadian Flow issue and helped us track down and fix it. And, a big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to report bugs and share feedback with us. There are always a few bumps in the road with an update as significant as v4 - but what we’re always, always super grateful for is the patience, understanding, and trust in us that if things don’t quite go to plan, we’ll move heaven and earth to fix it. Here’s what’s new: - All-New Liquid Glass Design: building on the biophilic principles at the heart of Portal, Liquid Glass brings the fluidity & physicality of the natural world into the app. Requires iOS 26/iPadOS 26 and up. - Circadian Flow: sync Portal with your local time of day and play portals that mirror the rhythm and changing light of the world outside. - Streaming Playback: play portals instantly without downloading first. - Playable Collections: play entire collections as a seamless journey. - Audio Normalisation: balance volume levels between portals for smoother transitions. - Favourites: save the portals you love most in one place. - Search: easily find portals you’re looking for or discover somewhere new. - Widgets: Home Screen, Lock Screen & Control Centre widgets for quick access. - Timers & Alarms: a new Pomodoro timer and enhanced alarm controls make it easier to focus, wind down or wake with nature. iOS 26 required for AlarmKit support. - Handoff: pick up where you left off and move seamlessly between devices. - Improved Siri Integration: use Siri for media playback and search, with on-screen awareness. - Orientation Enhancements: landscape views on iPhone and portrait on iPad. - Window Resizing: supported on iPhone and iPad.
