Both come from EPA AirNow. EPA monitor pins now come from our own service rather than a shared dataset. They load faster and are more current. Fixes • Smoke forecasts no longer drop the occasional blank hour. • Satellite imagery no longer leaves a black band down the international date line. • Background refresh is more reliable, so the map is current when you open it. Monitor readings ride on top as pins you can tap. Community sensor readings from OpenAQ cover the rest of the world.
