About
Fanxis turns speech into text as you talk, on a screen made to be shared. One person speaks toward the phone. The other reads from the opposite side of the table. With a two-finger swipe, the transcript turns around so it reads the right way up for them — no one has to pick up the phone or hand it over. LIVE TRANSCRIPTION Words appear while you speak, not after you finish. The text keeps up with the conversation and scrolls along with it, but stops following the moment you scroll back to re-read something. MADE FOR TWO PEOPLE • Swipe up with two fingers to flip the text for someone facing you. • Swipe down with two fingers to turn it back. • One finger still scrolls normally, so the gesture never gets in the way. USEFUL WHEN LISTENING IS HARD Fanxis can help in a loud café, at a counter, in a meeting, or when talking with someone who is deaf or hard of hearing. Put the phone on the table and talk. CHOOSE YOUR LANGUAGE Pick the transcription language in Settings, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Chinese, with regional variants. Each language is downloaded once, and you can remove the ones you no longer use. START IN ONE STEP Say "Start recording with Fanxis" to Siri, or use the ready-made shortcut in the Shortcuts app or on the Action button. Fanxis opens already listening. READABLE FROM ACROSS THE TABLE Adjust the text size so the transcript is easy to read at a distance. On iPad, the text stays at a comfortable line length on the larger screen. AND ALSO • Copy the whole transcript with a long press. • Clear it and start again from the menu. • Works on iPhone and iPad. • Available in English and Spanish. YOUR CONVERSATIONS STAY YOURS Fanxis has no accounts, no ads and no analytics, and it does not save your transcripts. When you clear the screen or start a new recording, the text is gone. Transcription accuracy depends on the language, the speaker and the surroundings. Fanxis is a communication aid and is not a substitute for professional captioning or interpreting services.
